Sam Skolnik is a comedian, writer, actor and filmmaker.  He studied Television, Film and New Media at San Diego State University where he won a best screenwriting in a student film at the San Diego Fall Film Festival as well as the coveted Wally! Award for his short films.  During his studies, Sam focused on screenwriting and directing as well as performing both on screen and stage--acting in student films and performing with SDSU's improv group, Iota Eta Pi.

Sam moved to New York out of college to work on shows such as MTV2's Joking Off and rap battle Nick Cannon on MTV's Wild'n Out LIVE. He performed stand up throughout NYC and studies sketch/improv at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Training Center.  However, he has now returned to Southern California to good ol' Los Angeles were he continues to write, perform and create. He is currently a contributor to and host of The Mono Pod on the Low Upside Podcast Network at  Finally, he hopes this bio isn't as pretentious as it feels while he's writing it.
